I picked these 5 to put up here because these were the best ones in my opinion. Some of them actually represent something and some of them are more abstract. They were, however, all created by randomly moving shapes around until I was satisfied. For the ones that are more representational, I arranged until it represented something that I liked. The more abstract ones I arranged the shapes until I felt like they were nice to look at.

Week 4-Shapes
For this weeks assignment we were supposed to create about 20 compositions containing 3 white shapes, 3 red shapes, and a 3 inch burgundy square. Each one is created in Adobe Illustrator using the pen tool, the brush tool, and the rectangle tool. Some of them reuse shapes and some of them I made new shapes for.

Week 3
This week we were supposed to capture lines by taking pictures. Going from picture to picture, I attempted to capture a different type of line in each one. Each of these images were captured using my phone camera. Each picture was also taken at varying distances from the object depending on the line I was trying to capture. For instance I took a picture of my lights from a distance to because the lines were created by the whole thing. The fan, however, had to be captured up close to show the lines on the outside of it.
These are zig zag organic lines with a curved horizontal line at the top. These are created by my lights.
These are diagonal geometric lines created by my hangars
Here I took a picture of a tree to show organic lines of all different orientations.
Here are horizontal lines created by my blimds.
These are curved lines and vertical lines on my fan.
Week 2
This week we were supposed to create multiple images using different types of line. This is what I came up with.

My name is Taylor Anderson and I am a Sophomore here at Saint Xavier. Outside of classes I am involved in art club. I am studying Studio Art here and I hope to use what I learn in this class to pursue a career as a Comic book artist or as an Animator. This blog will contain all of my works that I will be making for my 2D design class.
